Guideline and policy news

• Feedback is requested on the Universal Code of Conduct enforcement draft by the Universal Code of Conduct Phase 2 drafting committee.
• A RfC is open on whether to allow administrators to use extended confirmed protection on high-risk templates.
• A discussion is open to decide when, if ever, should discord logs be eligible for removal when posted onwiki (including whether to oversight them)
• A RfC on the next steps after the trial of pending changes on TFAs has resulted in a 30 day trial of automatic semi protection for TFAs.

Technical news

• The Score extension has been re-enabled on public wikis. It has been updated, but has been placed in safe mode to address unresolved security issues. Further information on the security issues can be found on the mediawiki page.

Arbitration

• A request for comment is in progress to provide an opportunity to amend the structure, rules, and procedures of the Arbitration Committee election and resolve any issues not covered by existing rules. Comments and new proposals are welcome.

Miscellaneous

• The 2021 RfA review is now open for comments.

Opaluma rupaul and automated taxoboxes

Hi there. I saw your recent edit and wanted to drop a line. First, the problem was not with Opaluma rupaul, but with {{Taxonomy/Opaluma}} which had |rank=familia instead of |rank=genus. You not only changed the genus from Opaluma to Odontomyia, but you also replaced an automated taxobox template with a manual one. There is a huge effort to convert all taxoboxes to automated ones now, so you should familiarise yourself with the automated taxobox system. It has a small learning curve, but it makes changes in taxonomy (say when a family is renamed or moved) much easier: it's just one edit to a template instead of editing possibly hundreds of articles for lover taxa. Edit summary aimed at me?

Hi. I don't know if your edit summary on Man of Colours was aimed at me, but regardless of your sarcasm, there's clearly no confusion for other editors, considering (as I just pointed out in my edit summaries), we drop the word "Records" from label names in this parameter per Template:Infobox album#label, as well as in columns named "Label" and other instances where the fact that we're talking about record labels has been made clear. Speedy criteria in draft space

Hi, Shirt, thanks for doing the research here. I'd have liked to delete that page to save time all round, but I'm reasonably sure that A-prefix speedy criteria don't apply in draft space (or am I wrong?), so I didn't feel justified in doing so.
